New Therapy; Zero Balancing
I have recently finished training in a new therapy called Zero Balancing.
In 2013 I discovered Zero Balancing and was surprised how a relatively short and very gentle session changed the way my body felt and how I felt emotionally. My closest practitioner was Marian Wall in Chesterfield so I continued to travel to Chesterfield for regular sessions. In 2014 I began training in Zero Balancing and qualified in November 2016. The training has taken me to Dorset, Devon, Derby and Mexico and I still enjoy learning more and more about this wonderful therapy.
Zero Balancing is a relatively new form of bodywork and energy therapy. It was developed in 1975 by Dr Fritz Smith as a way to combine his energy work; acupuncture and his structural bodywork; osteopathy.
During a zero balancing session, the client lies on a massage couch fully clothed, whilst the practitioner uses a series of gentle stretches into specific joints (e.g. hip joints, neck/cervical spine, shoulder joints, tarsal joints in the feet) mixed with fingertip pressure into various bones and some muscles (e.g. ribs, sacrum, trapezium/shoulder muscles). This naturally and gently releases tension from the body.
Available from the therapy room at my home address in Sheffield or at Fiveways Therapy Centre.
Zero Balancing promotes a deep sense of relaxation and the benefits may include:
